mood tirrrrredddd
listening to the sound of the very very tempting raindrops hitting on my window sill

it's 6.48 now.

my paper's at 1pm and by hook or by crook i've got to stay awake til then.

somebody shoot me, cos it's been raining like this for the past countless of hours and i so badly want to snuggle under my blanket and sleep the living daylight out of me.

rudy popped over this evening with lots of food for my late night munch. He bought me hot milo, coffee, ritz bitz and hello panda too, which came in really handy when the clock struck roughly 330am. he's incredibly thoughtful!

i love rudy! :)

arrrrrggghhhhhhh.... 12 hours to freedom.

i think by around 10am i'm just gonna start hallucinating so i better make an escapade to spinelli and evacuate from my room before i lose it altogether.

SOMEBODY pass me a cuppa potent coffee QUICK!!!!!

listening to Too Lost in You by Sugababes (Love Actually Ost.)

On Exams and Plastic Surgery

I swear i can feel my head bursting. As much as i hate flooding my blog with angsty recollection of pre and post exam horrors, i think i'm just right about to flip over and die this very moment. Effectively (since it's 620am and i've yet to sleep), i have 2 core papers almost back to back the very day after today. The level of frustration i'm feeling now has officially shot through the roof. Don't tell me we all have exams, and that you understand, because you most probably don't.

now i can't even sleep eventhough i badly want to, and i can't resume studying too cos i literally feel myself puking and my head spinning when i look at my books.

On to a completely separate note, i'm rather amused by all this Daphne Teo and Dawn Yang blog-brouhaha. I simply do not comprehend what exactly drives people to poke their ugly noses where they do not belong, and reduce themselves to such condescending and judgemental figures. declaring it publicly to boot. So what if she had plastic surgery? Is there an absolute necessity to scrutinise her to the point of inappropriate privacy intrusion? Ripping her photos off her - may i add - private blog, and plastering them all over the walls of the world wide web just to watch someone being tossed about in the mouths of mean gossipers?

Views on plastic surgery aside, so what if she did have surgery, the least she has done is not do a self-denial ala Britney's "I'm a virgin" (when she most probably was not). Ok so even by saying this i'm being a little judgemental but you get the idea.

The stupidity of some singaporeans baffles me to the point of incredulity. If you can't stop gawking at other people's life or slamming them, it's probably time you get your own. Wake up already.

Shall not include the links to make matters worse.

Oh God.. let exams be over chop-chop. Otherwise woodbridge is gonna have a new addition very very soon.

mood :(
listening to Boat Parade by Five for Fighting

I was comfortably mugging at the Spinelli at University Hall when some freako spinelli boy started playing house music which was threatening to blow the whole coffee house down. You know what song is playing now? the NUMA NUMA song. like HELLO????? i can accept rudy occasionally humming kermit's kokomo and laugh it away but numa-numa? at Spinelli? now seriously, i think any living human being who listens to that song and actually enjoys it should be either hung upside down to resume the interrupted blood flow to his head or sent to the nearest psychiatrist for immediate counselling.

I am not happy. :( there was a time when spinelli used to play nice soothing jazz and lounge music all day long and i miss it..

So i'm now blasting Five for Fighthing in my ipod and continuing to bury my head in my Applied Chemistry Felder and Rousseau book (which is falling apart because i got cheated by a second-hand book seller). Sadly, this isnt quite working either. cos my deepest, darkest innermost desire at this moment is actually to snooze...

Two days ago while getting myself sick physically and mentally due to exams, i turned to a very flabbergasted rudy and said, "lets go to IKEA and shop".
We, or rather I, spent close to an hour and a half at the bedsheet section and exercised my fickle power to drive rudy half-mad helping me choose a quilt cover. Wanted to buy a potted plant too but decided against it or i would have probably spent another one thousand years choosing between pink and red gerberas and then ended up missing all my exams.

My new bedsheet and quiltcover is SOOOO comfortable and sleep inducing that it has reduced this supposedly muggin period into a snooza fiesta.

oh. my. God.

i never knew heaven is made of 100% cotton! :D

Attempting to study while my mind keeps drifting back to my bed is not good.

very bad indeed.

*edit

Ok. my hypothesis is correct. This freako spinelli boy really does need some counselling, because he's playing the numa-numa song for a second friggin' time. arghhhh!!!!

Denyse, i suspect he's the cute guy you were oogling. you wanna change your mind? haha.

listening to some song off someone's blog

Wokie, i think i've been on a hiatus for quite some time, which is good in a way because sometimes silence is golden indeed. I've had so much random thoughts in my head rushing out wanting to get blogged, but each time i felt it coming, i just shoved it aside and shut it up because i told myself "I have no freaking time for THIS!" But now, since it's 930am in the morning and i've not slept a wink since 1am, and also having crammed enough useless info pertaining to matrices, fatty acid oxidation and triacylglycerol synthesis and having productivity level already hit rock-bottom, i may as well just blog a bit.

So, exams are here again, and in the truest sense of words, i feel lost. My body clock is still as screwed as ever, thanks to my stay-up-late routine. Now somewhere along the line something must have gone awry, because now i somehow always manage to fend off enough lethargy to last me til 7am in the morning, be one of the few goons at the comm hall for breakfast, before trudging to bed at 8am. thennnn, i'll wake up at 3pm, when the campus is already bustling with activities and busy bees, and by dinner time, it feels like i'm only taking lunch. if you know what i mean.

You know, i think i'll make an excellent CNA anchorwoman. I can don a pretty suit, get people to make me up, appear on TV at 5am in the morning looking fresh and yabber a bit.

Therefore, i've been periodically feeling weird for a few days now. Because the continuous consciousness of the mind makes 2 days feel like they're morphed into one, and i feel like i'm being sucked into some warped timezone where like some fast-forwarded video tape, night and day interchange in a blink of an eye. By my second breakfast it feels like the previous breakfast was just barely a moment ago. Whatever happened to my time???

If time is money, then i declare myself poor. My pockets have holes i cannot mend.

However, looking on the bright side of the gloomy reality, i present to you, the advantages of burning midnight oil:
  1. You have the toilet all to yourself during ungodly hours, thus you can walk from the shower cubicle to the WC cubicle in your underwear and noone will scream bloody murder or accuse you for causing permanent blindness. or both.
  2. You get to be the first for breakfast and thus pampered with a dizzying array of food selection.
  3. You are entitled to nice thick milo, unlike the normal diluted ones, since you get the bottom condensed portion from the drink dispenser.
  4. You get to see keiko and jasmine at their uber high moments, which give you aching sides from all the laughing and subsequently ease your constipation/clear your morning bowels.

I feel so worn out. I've come to a point where i question, why am i making myself go through all this? Why do we all drive ourselves to the brink of insanity just to get a few numbers on a laminated piece of certificate? I feel lost, because i don't even feel like going on anymore, yet there isn't any other door i can reach and open. So you tell me, what's the point in getting straight A's for A level when all the things i want to do seem out of reach? When i wonder is it i'm not good enough, i think again and realise that the fact is, they're just not available to me.

So i dont even feel like studying for exams anymore, because what joy do i find?
I've cooped myself up in my little sheares hall room, surrounded by disgusting looking notes with diagrams and chemical equations and material balances, eating mostly nothing but hall food. I haven't been off-campus for yonks, and i can't remember the last time i went shopping, or read a magazine (the 8 days rudy bought me a few days ago not counted). Mugging is a very lonely process.

I look at my work and i feel the all too familiar sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach. When i try to be optimistic and tell myself it can be done, i contradict myself all over again, because why do i even bother? why do i strive to excel when i dont even want what they have to offer? I'm not looking at the end of the rainbow, because in the first place there isn't a freaking rainbow. It's all the figment of your imagination, the colours.

ok so now i'm feeling sleepy. and it's 10am. So if i sleep now, by calculation i'll most probably wake up at 4pm and after a while it would be dinner time. Then i would feel, "another day wasted".

I wanna get out of this maze so bad. Find me my joy and i'll do a runaway bride gig on NUS.

I tell myself it's just a phase. And i'm waiting for the day my denial comes to life. Either way i would have been happy. Prove me wrong.

Anyways!! on the happier things, i kope-d our anniversary photos from rudy's camera when he left it in my room, since he took so long to send me. :D

Esmirada, CHIJMES. oooh.. bring me the food!!!

Still at CHIJMES. We were looking a tad too casual for CHIJMES and for the occasion too. But we came from school and in rudy's words, the most important thing is to be comfortable. haha.

Rudy with the Cucumberumba i gave him for our anniversary. Obviously he's loving it, you don't think? "Do you love the bag more or do you love me more???" :D

The end :)

over and out!

P/S: Hi to kim ming if you happen to be reading! *waves*
