Immortalising the Ephemeral.
Yay. Operation Cucumberumba was a success. The look on his face, which was comparable to the time when i presented him with his Frank Gehry watch on his 21st birthday, was priceless. :)
We went for dinner on friday, nothing elaborately planned, nothing particularly fancy, just a quiet celebration. We strutted down to Esmirada, a spanish restaurant at CHIJMES, and embarked on another one of our favourite gastronomic adventures. The menu they have at Esmirada was simply gorgeous. Rudy had Seafood Extravaganza, which consisted of soft juicy mussels, scallops, crayfish and some other seafood on top of tangy tomato based pasta with a hint of spice, while I went for Chicken Kebab Skewer. It was lightly grilled, served together with lightly grilled capsicum and onion, oven-baked potato and garlic sour cream. The chicken was unbelievable. It was the most tender chicken i've tasted and rudy could vouch for that one hundred percent. Talking about it made me hungry all over again. *drools*

me thinks that the pictures are not doing the dishes justice cos it was so dark then that we could hardly take proper pictures. anyways, we finished off with the award-winning Tiramisu and Melting Chocolate for dessert, which was this unbelievably chocolatey chocolate tartlet topped with chocolate ice cream. I swear i could kill for another serving of that. Shan't post the pictures! I leave it up to your imagination.
overall, i give Esmirada two thumbs up. If only it is less pricey, i may actually consider frequenting the place!
Rudy was so sweet, earlier in the afternoon when we met up for lunch before my lesson, he asked if he can do some studying in my room while waiting for me to finish lecture. So being the accomodating girlfriend that i am, i just passed him my matric card, abandoning the idea that he actually had the potential of rummaging my room, turning it upside down and in the process discovering the crumpler bag he wasn't yet supposed to find out.
Later on after my lecture when i returned to hall, i was welcomed by a very "grinning" rudy standing beside 16 beautiful roses all nicely done in the vase on my tabletop. Apparently during my absence the boy actually went to get the flowers, took a cab back and even painstakingly arranged the flowers himself. i wanted to cry. so touched.
For your information, i was never a flower person, simply because i think it is an absurd way of spending money, and i just couldn't bear the thought of him spending so much money.
but i love them nonetheless. They made my day and i cant take my eyes off them! I wish they could actually last longer too.
Keiko was joking that i seem like i'm having buaya week every week, and i sheepishly smirked at her. But i do feel very blessed. God has been very good to me, and i know it's just gonna get better and better.
Will post the dinner photos once rudy send them to me.
:)
ok. back to muggin it is.
No one else can make me feel
The colors that you bring
Stay with me while we grow old
And we will live each day in springtime
Cause lovin' you has made my life so beautiful
And every day my life is filled with lovin' you
