mood: drowsy
hooked on to: Glory to the King by Christian City Church

the ONLY thing i loathe about rainy weather is, i tell you, the wet slippery ground.
skipped my organic chem lecture and went to central library to do a bit of work, where there's no horizontal resting place for me to skive. managed to squeeze out fragments of my marketing assignment from my fried and dried brain, til my laptop officially died at around 1pm. so i took a short stroll to biz canteen intending to grab a quick bite.
the sky was threateningly dark.

"a-ha. must go back to hall and bring my new and hardly used umbrella out.", i thought.

within barely 10 seconds of me writing that mental note, a drastic change of the weather, almost like a blatant mockery of my non-symbiotic relationship with the umbrella*, saw the lightning-speed progression of a mere gray sky to a slight drizzle, and to a humongous, heavy, full-grown violent downpour. ten seconds! imagine how absolutely outrageous.

*you see, for as long as remember, i absolutely do not recall ever utilising an umbrella because it always rains when i happen not to bring that darned thing, and never ever rain when i determinedly lug it along.

so while scurrying my way to biz canteen like a wet rat, which was only around 20 steps away but felt like it lasted eternity, i tripped on a puddle of water, did a semi-matrix act, and there you have it. my worst nightmare came true.

i hate, i hate, i hate, i absolutely hate slippery floors.

and if you are an NUS student, you should know how business fac looks like. it is a frenzy of staircases!!!!!! what on earth is wrong with the bloody architect??! and as though rainy weather is not bad enough, the daft cleaner uncle chose to mop the floor around the staircase (and mind you that is only the first flight) just when i was about to embark on my treacherous descent.

GOD! if i may exaggerate a little, that seriously sent me to an immediate mental state of hysteria.

should i wait until the floor dries?

but i'll be late for lecture.

should i just go ahead and walked graciously down the stairs? for heaven's sake it's just stairs!

but what if i trip?!

Of course in the end i reached hall safely to change into dry clothings. but you have no idea how traumatising it was. i tell you,
Absolutely. no. i-d-e-a.
