a quick glance at the calendar pinned on my corkboard found me throwing my arms in despair and surrender at the merciless passing of time. freshman year is coming to an end, and whether i like it or not, time will still tie a string around my neck, give it a violent tug and force me to move on. Lack of exam preparation aside... boy, what a year it has been. Around the same time last year, a gullible and excited junior college graduate i was. fresh from the oven, oblivious to my impending turmoil as an NUS student.
my brief stint as a camouflaged chem engin freshie, my first and only orientation, all the fun at sentosa, all the teasing and what not, a short story that never saw a proper ending.
my first sleepless night in hall, the block orientations, IBGs, block suppers, morning breakfast calls, ponding, my first lecture, my first stroll around campus, the ginseng tea, the 4am chat at the bus stop, my first visit to SDE, the tune by Jim Brickman, all the late night suppers, all the late night "mugging", the wrongly-sent sms, the all too familiar fuzzy feeling when my stomach did its somersaults, and the rest is history. mine and only mine to keep. =)
i miss those carefree days... when the grass on my side is always greener than anywhere else.
speak, Lord...
