mood: bad.

what rotten weather. i never knew the nice round sun previously regarded as a tan-blesser is capable of inducing such a horrendous mood on my part. been feeling rather grouchy today. alright, very. see i'm honest.
and an imaginary lump which seems to have claimed a space somewhere in my stomach is seriously getting on my nerve. it's like an evil mix of constipation and cramps and tuberculosis.

physically unwell + high humidity + 8am lecture (which i was 45min late for) + 3 hours lab (wearing lab coat in an airconless room in this ungodly weather) + tonnes of unfinished businesses = oscar the grouch x 10.

no more friendly cookie monster.

the only things i can bear to look at right now without having the urge to get into fits are the two small jars of herb tea and camomile tea leaves rudy got me. =)

been procrastinating on their purchase due to their exorbitant prices. thankiew dear.. now i'm finally getting my dose of antioxidants :)

Isolation day - Quatros
Fell asleep 30min after eating my dinner. i'm SO gonna accumulate fats. tsk!
Ate two mandarin oranges already. Rudy gave me four today. You see i'm so pitiful that i don't even have oranges in chinese new year. Thank God for an always-there-for-any-season boyfriend. :)

Was timely woken up by the impatient ringing of my hp at 9.15pm after 3 miscalls. Miss Khala just got her pay and has kindly offered to treat me and gideon to dinner tomorrow. Upon hearing that, i was caught between going back to sleep thinking that this has to be a continuation of my dream, and looking out the window to check for flying pigs.

first, khala actually PICKED up the phone to call somebody.
second, she initiated to meet up with us.
third, she wants to buy a handphone FINALLY, oh somebody praise the Lord.

i'm so looking forward to tomorrow.. haven't spent some time with them for a while already. especially Giddeot. =)

A while ago, in an instant hit of realisation waves, i realised that i've willingly and un-remorsefully allowed my social life to dwindle to zilch. i feel zero drive to put in effort to hardly initiate anything. i even have to drag my fat fingers to reply smses. When i look at my sms inbox, it's mostly rudy's. Either those are the only ones i bother keeping, or no one else delivered anything much worth to be remembered.

My life has got a lot of reshuffling and filtering to do.

As much as i'm fearful of so many things going on in my life, what the future holds and what the unexpected may turn out to be, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. No surprise in that, thank God!

coffee overdose

i never knew coffee actually works THIS well. Been taking gulps of this caffeine-ladden black liquid for the past two days. end result: wide awake at ungodly hours. i actually slept at 5.15am yesterday and pigged through breakfast, lunch hour, and said my good morning only at 12 noon.

i've got lecture at 8am tmr. i'm so gonna die.

tommorrow is a mercilessly long day. Oh God help me out.

and will the world please just fade away?

Happy chinese new year everyone! Hope you all have had purses ladden with big fat juicy ang baos, and do remember that friends are supposed to care and share. *blink-blink*

This year's CNY is a pretty quiet(read: unfruitful) affair. Went to good ol' uncle's place for reunion dinner, where an innocent "So have you got suitors over in NUS?" on my auntie's part led to an embarrassing 3-against-1 interrogation session at the dinner table which results in much blushing and inability to chew on my part. Went there again today for dinner. The evil trio had asked me to invite rudy over as well, but knowing my uncle, i may jolly well grill him at the BBQ pit and he would be better off rather than having to sit through dinner under his scrutiny. haha.

Went to watch Constantine with rudy after dinner. The tickets were crazily fully-booked for 4-5 slots in a row and we thought that the movie must be darn awesome to be so hard to get. So we finally got a pair of tix after much searching at ... tiong bahru plaza, sitting 3rd row from the front and armed with, thankfully, strong and agile necks which sustained us through 2 hours of the show. Constantine wasn't as fabulous as we thought, with most of the scenes leaving us scratching our heads and going "huh?", not mentioning the gory freaky-looking demons and an overly imaginative plot (1 corinthians chapter 21???)
So we ended up trying to make sense out of the whole story while i contented myself watching the pretty leading actress. Took cab back and reached hall at a little past midnight.
Overall pretty amusing, but the company more than made up for all the jitters i always get watching gory shows. :)

Apparently i'm the only one pathetically holed up in hall while others are off visiting and eating CNY goodies and collecting money. The scenes from Constantine sometimes still float in and out of my mind and it's giving me the creeps. what an apt timing.

^^"

It's 3.59am in the morning. managed to finish up my prelab assignment before blogging this crappy entry in the attempt to let the blogging community know that i still exist. Chinese new year holidays are loaded with piles and hills and mountains of assignments and readings. and i'm missing rudy. :)

mood: disappointed
hooked on to: Seven years by Norah Jones

and the lazy blogger returns.
i feel rather detached from the hustle bustle going on around me cos the traffic of thoughts hogging my mind has kept me occupied enough. Stella is right. there is something wrong with us. we just want to nua. haha.

All those talks about friends drifting apart, hall politics and such, the emotional outpour of grievances & disappointments. News of chummy budies who became all but mere acquaintances.. They hardy faze me. I find within myself not the slightest stir or jolt of outrage or pity. sometimes i wonder why am i so cold. People who hardly know me think that i'm just some snob who's too high-up-there to socialise. Sadly that impression would probably stuck til the day they die. Afterall if it takes so much effort i guess they'd rather not start.

Chips of broken friendships, remnants of lost buddies, without the intention of making this entry sound too suicidal, i guess all those had worn me out. Cracked, reassembled, sellotaped, haphazardly put together before breaking again. People who brought my hopes so high, only to mercilessly yank it down again. Said they'd be there but couldn't be found. Said they'll be behind you but so far behind they were indeed.
The daily devotion by Pst Kong really spoke out what had been lingering in my mind.

Disappointment is never based on what you find, but upon what you expect to find.

nostalgia aside, i bought a pair of earrings today. yes you guessed it, school bazaar.
there's another one at central library and i totally fell in love with the swarovski big glassy crystal earrings. price is a bit steep though. $20-25. so i had to wince and walk away.

had cm1161 test which was total crap. the questions looked somewhat unprofessional. Tonnes of errors, and it seemed more like a guessing game more than a knowledge based assessment.
And the worst part is, it's 15% of the overall. somebody just kill the professor please.

i'm tired.

tired.

tired.
