medical check-up. bleargh.
went to NUS early morning to get my medical check up done. chest X-rays, blood test and the like. bla and more bla.
being a foreign student = extra blood test = PAIN.
my blood test was hilarious and frustrating. the nurse talked to me as though she was the hero in action rescuing little red riding hood from the big bad wolf. i felt absolutely infantile.
apparently the vein in my left arm decided to play hide-and-seek today. therefore, after poking long and painful enough to draw a few miserable drops of blood, the nurse (still having that funnily annoying tone) told me that she needed to play dracula on my other arm instead. great.
have i told you that medical check-up is highly unglam and embarrassing? shall not go into the details but one of the sections require one to pee into a little plastic cup and carrying it across the corridor (with people looking). now tell me about it. cruel. they dont even let us retain the little dignity of keeping our biological waste private. anyway, NUS is huge. had a leg-breaking time trying to locate the offices and it was only when i was ready to pack up & head home sweet home did i realise i forgot to submit a form at the other end of the campus. heck! i'm coming back another day. my darling feet are looking like ugly blister farms.
just came back not long ago from church. sleeping on the couch tonight. visiting relatives in my room. urghhh. how am i going to catch my well-deserved Z's with a sofa pillow that feels like a rock and deprivation of air-con??
sleeping pills to share, anyone?
