random thoughts.
today was unbelievably short, just like any other last days i suppose. but then again, daytime has more or less been short nowadays. i guess that's what waking up at 12.30 noon does to you.
my mum is leaving town tomorrow too. so that makes it 2 trips to the airport. mum's going to medan, another town at the other end of the archipelago to visit my grandma, and also to attend her high school reunion. now isnt that cute?? fancy a crowd of 40-yrs-old men and women exchanging photos of their children. :D
but then again, to each their own little pleasures.
mum's flight is 9am in the morning and i wanna send her off. which means i gotta wake up fivehours earlier than usual. which is heartless! i've long given up trying to sleep anytime earlier than 3 am. no matter what i do, my mind, and eyes for that matter, just simply refuse to shut off. therefore, short and insomnic tonight is going to be. and say hello to dark rings and puffy eyes tomorrow morning.
like i said, all things are possible to those who want it badly enough.
my nose is still blocked and i cant stop blowing my nose. now the skin around my nose is hideously red and to put it short and simple, i look like shit.
i realised that guys just cant get enough shirts. just like how girls simply cant get enough of shoes. and nice tops. and bags. and earrings. and more shoes. and more tops. and more bags. you get the idea. :)
orientation starts the day after tomorrow. man, i've forgotten how going to school feels like. which is scary because that makes me sound so overaged. the prospect of meeting so many more new people is exciting, but a maybe a little intimidating to put it frankly. the perplexity i'm feeling is indescribable because that is rather unlike me. i had always liked people.
you know, sometimes i wish i can read my own thought bubbles cos i really fancy getting a crystal picture of what i always friggin' think.
i am a collection of contradicting and complex thoughts all chopped (oops, too much cooking), mixed, wrapped, and nicely rolled into a walking, talking thing whom you now see.
too often, i'm too concerned about what other people think of the things i say or do, and the feeling's not unlike having a baggage strapped to your back that weighs you down time and time again when i could jolly well do with a lighter load. so that will have to go.
life intrigues me. and i'm moving on. i guess, you either move on with me, or here i bid you my farewell. i've never been good with words anyway.
urhh... i guess the potato and prawn sambal dish i had for dinner tonight is going to be the last from my mum. 'til another year or maybe half.
hostel food better be good!
if we hold on together by Diana Ross.
don't lose your way
With each passing day
You've come so far
Don't throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and i
Souls in the wind
Must learn how to bend
Seek out a star
Hold on to the end
Valleys, mountains
There is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Words are swaying
Somebody is praying
Please let us come home to stay
chorus
When we are out there in the dark
We'll dream about the sun
In the dark we'll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone.
chorus
found this oldie in my sister's winamp playlist. such a nice song! got a few other personal favourites but will save it for next time. :)
it's been quite a lengthy entry. i dont blame you if you never get to read this line (cos you've probably already clicked the exit button).
yay! coming back for cellgroup and svcs. truly, one can live without bread but one cannot live without the Word of God. :)
