oh goodness! this is the THIRD time i've blogged today. today= the last 24 hrs. this is ridiculous. but i am glued to the computer i cannot get away.
been in a particularly melancholic mood today. the rainy weather made everything seems even more somber. a tad gloomy.
ah... i wish...
anyway, my relatives at home brought back a feast today. wohoaaa..
let me tell you what i had.
black pepper crab, curry fish head, herbal chicken and a plate of vegetables.
that was like one of the most extravagant dinner i've had in this house for the past..erm..cant remember.
so i asked auntie, "why the feast?"
she replied, "to celebrate how our Saviour died for us."
that point was correct. but there was something incorrect about her. the way she said it was almost like a joke. which to me, was the saddest thing of all.
it's just like christmas, how ridiculous it is that people celebrate christmas without knowing who christmas is celebrated for?
people go for all the lights & parties that come along with christmas. presents, cards, nice christmas trees & the fun crowds in town.
then, how ridiculous it is also, to be able to laughingly proclaim that they are celebrating good friday, merrily buying nice foods yet seemingly missing out on the single most important fact, that on this very day 2000 years ago, Jesus died for you and I. He died so that we may have a relationship with the living God.
He went through 12 hours of such extreme pain & rejection, before eventually dying on the cross, for the very people who are, at this moment, sitting & laughing at the comfort of their homes, pleased that today gave them one day off work or school.
i'm so looking forward to the easter svc tomorrow. it's gonna be a life-changing evening. :)
