i'm leaving s'pore in exactly 2 days..
i would say that i have really mixed feelings about going away.. & there are definitely things here which are making it increasingly difficult to say good-bye.. not that i'm not ever coming back.. in fact, i think most probably i'll be spending a good 4 more years of my life on this tiny island. HAHA. that isn't helping!!

oh well!!
prom is already over and done with.. & i've surprised myself by actually feeling kinda disappointed that it's over.. haha. it felt a little like an official closing to my days as a "college girl". :) & WOW. marina mandarin wasnt as horrendous as i thought. the inside of the hotel was actually decent looking! a far cry from the seemingly century-old outside. haha. i guess i had let the facade fool me. so yeah! i would say that overall, i was quite pleased.. true, i've always wished that i had more outgoing and fun classmates to begin with... but then again i guess i got my fair share of the pie. there are a lot other blessings i should be thankful for!

before the prom i went to khala's house to get ready. khala insisted on going to the salon to straighten her hair although i've told her a thousand time that i dont see what's so ugly about her curls. i think they're nice! Hoze actually dropped by to pick us up to go to the prom together (with a cab) although me & khala were laughing about it saying that he must had motives for wanting to "look good" with a girl on his either side. HAHA! just kidding... :D thanks for waiting for us to get ready. & i really mean WAIT. & yes, hoze! now i know what are caterpillar shoes. if any of you dont, dont worry, you're not the only one. haha!

anyway, the food was good. surprisingly as well.
after prom me, khala, gunardi, hoze & jonathan (WOW. jonathan!) went to Embassy. my first try at clubbing. there were SO little people. the club looked like a graveyard for goodness' sake. didnt stay long.. had vodka & 7up. that cocktail thingy? & after 3 glasses i felt myself getting half drunk. OH. goodness. this kind of activity is something i know for sure i'm not gonna be doing often.
anyway, had decent conversations with gunardi so that's a good sign i suppose? haha. he's leaving for germany on the 10th. i told him that i do hope we're still friends and that he didnt take whatever happened in the past to heart.. he seemed okay! ha.

stayed overnight at khala's house.. hadnt had a long night of girl talks for AGES! felt good! haha. although i wasnt actually feeling very well that day.. had this horrible sore throat that wont go away. i mean, look! i had to settle for WARM WATER when everyone else had ICED orange juice & sprite. *cries* so yeah.. khala's dad picked us up from marina mandarin & i had to be careful to look decently sober so that he wouldnt have something to think about. HAHA. couldnt even take out my shoes properly & had to try hard to balance myself. for goodness' sake the vodka drink was like 70% 7UP!! i think.

so i went back home the next day in the afternoon after cooking ready-made pancakes with khala. haha.
overall i kinda enjoyed myself! & to think i didnt invest much in my prom stuff anyway.. a $150 dress... which i came to realise actually looked quite alright.
hey, i'm quite proud! :) haha.

*grin*

& today i'm down with a HORRIBLE flu. urghhhhhhh...

just bought THE prom dress yesterday... 150 bucks u know... so saddening..
ARGH! the saddest part is i thought i'm supposed to be excited about prom but i am not.
i thought i'm supposed to be looking forward to a great time but i am not.
& i dont even like my gown that much. SIGH!
it's this silverish black thingy.. upon wearing it properly i actually realised it's quite low-cut. hmm..hmm.. another SAD part.
anw, i got one confirmed friend for 21st dec svc!!! yay yay yay!! was actually quite discouraged cos he didnt want to come for the other normal services.. but when i told jolene about it, her reaction made me feel so much better... haha.. i think it's gonna be a life-changing testimony! wow!
really looking forward to seeing another life changed... :)
